Career
He started his career as a host in MTV Canada. He rose to prominence by hosting the After Show and it’s various spin offs. The show has now gone off air. After that he wrote, produced and acted in his own Christmas special for MTV. He even hosted an MTV awards red carpet and Canada fear factor. He even hosted the 2010 Vancouver winter Olympics.
He acted in a Canadian TV series called Degrassi: The Next generation.
This series was later premiered as a television movie. In 2012 he appeared in a movie called Cyberstalker and in 2013 he starred in a movie called Admission.
In the same year he started a production house in collaboration with his father and two more people. This production house was called Not a Real Company Productions. Their first production was a TV show called Schitt’s Creek. This series was a high hit and Dan Levy’s production house rose to fame with it.
He even acted in the series and his character’s pansexuality was a topic of discussion amongst many. He received a lot of nominations for the same including the Candian Screen Awards and the Primetime Emny Award for outstanding comic series. In 2019 Schitt’s Creek was renewed for a final season.
In 2017 and 2018 Dan Levy and Julia Chan hosted the The Great Canadian baking show but did not return to host the third season.
