In 2010 she hosted a show called The Closet. She regularly wrote columns for a women’s magazine called Company from 2011-2014. In 2012 she became a host for a reality television show called Playing It Straight. In 2012 she became the first female presenter of a British Radio Chart Show.
In 2016 she moved to Los Angeles and was working as a writer when somebody told her that the director of a famous American sitcom called ‘Parks and Recreation’ was looking for a British actress. She got the role in 2016 for a sitcom called ‘The Good Place’. She played the role if Tahani Al Jameel on the show and her character and acting were highly admired.
