Rico made his cinematic debut in Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer’s 2007 parody film “Epic Movie”. He was cast in the role of Chanchito.
He acted alongside Tony Cox, Hector Jimenez, Kal Penn, Adam Campbell, Crispin Glover, Fred Willard, Jennifer Coolidge, Jayma Mays, and Faune A. Chambers. The film was made with an initial budget of $20 million and went on to make a huge grossing of $86.9 million at the box office, and thus it can be considered a blockbuster movie.
The film however was bombarded at the reception as it received horrible reviews with a 2% approval rating and 2.3/10 reviews (Rotten Tomatoes).
